Ideas lifecycle explained through series of screen flows. Motivations, process and benefits of submitting your own idea to The Ideas Economy platform explained.
Idea stages are Basic, Expanded, Featured and Winning idea. Winning idea gets an opportunity to be presented at live event, in front of the audience.
A thought leader is invited to speak at an upcoming event. The Economist invite the speaker to promote this topic by adding a featured idea to the Ideas Economy website, bypassing the basic idea stage. This should be the idea that formed the basis of what they'll be talking about. This featured idea is added to the site in advance of the event, allowing users to discuss the topic before the speaker's talk. The speaker can monitor the conversation. The event takes place and the talk is recorder. The video from the event is added to the presentation page on the site and comments are enabled.
As ideas are expended and built on, descriptive text, images, video and audio can be added, along with comments and ratings, but always around a key, central 140 character concept. Themes and concepts will flow between the different areas of the site as events and blogs posts spark ideas from the users, the most popular ideas are expanded and commented upon, and these ideas in turn may form the basis of future events and blog posts.
